Senegal winger Khalilou Fadiga has left Belgian club Geerminal Beerschot after the two parties mutually decided to terminate his contract. Mexican international Pavel Pardo has rejoined Club America for a fee of $4m from VfB Stuttgart. Defensive midfielder Pardo played for Club America for seven years between 1999 and 2006 before joining Stuttgart for a fee of 1 million euros after the 2006 World Cup.

Gent to sign Tim Smolders
Charleroi midfielder Tim Smolders will leave the Zebras in January to join Michel Preud D’Homme’s Gent. Smolders has signed a three and a half year contract with the Buffalos, and becomes their second winter signing after Westerlo’s Stef Wils.
Smolders previously played for Club Brugge and RBC Roosendaal before joining Charleroi.
