UCL Quarter Final 2026 First Leg Team of the Week- No Raya

The official Team of the Week of the Champions League quarter finals (first leg) has been announced, and there’s only one Premier League based player in it. Despite his heroics at the Alvalade against SCP, Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya misses out to German veteran Manuel Neuer, who was also excellent for Bayern against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

Not surprisingly, there is no Liverpool player in the TOTW after their disappointing 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain.

Here is a look at the Paris SG v Liverpool FC player ratings from their Champions League quarter-final (first leg) in April 2026 from the European sports papers. PSG won the game 2-0 with Doue and Kvicha scoring for the hosts.

LFC and Arsenal are the last two English sides left in the competition- the Gunners won 1-0 against Sporting in their first leg.

Liverpool offered very little of note on attack (zero shots on target) and that’s reflected in their player ratings from French paper L’Equipe. The starting team as an average got a 4.3/10 rating, with the likes of Van Dijk, Kerkez, Gravenberch and Konate all getting low scores.

Manager Arne Slot was also given a rating of 3/10, while his opposite number Luis Enrique got a 8/10 (more than any of his players!)

L’Equipe had Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori as Italy’s best player in this WC playoff against Bosnia. The Gunners star featured as part of a 3 at the back defensive system employed by Azzurri coach Gennaro Gattuso and got a 7/10 rating from the French newspaper.

Man City goalkeeper Donnarumma got a 6/10 from L’Equipe, while DiMarco had a disappointing evening (4/10 rating).
