Napoli lead at half time through Lavezzi’s opener, but Gerrard, a half time substitute for Milan Jovanovic, netted thrice in the last fifteen minutes to give the Reds a 3-1 win.
One of Gerrard’s goals came from the spot, while two others were a result of poor defending from Napoli.
