Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema finished third, with last season’s winner, Atleti forward Antoine Griezmann, taking fourth place.
Dimitri Payet was third last year but misses out on the top 10 altogether this time around.
Somewhat bizarrely, Zinedine Zidane didn’t have Mbappe in his top five choices. He voted for Benzema and Varane as 1 and 2 respectively.
